# Barcode Cannot Be Scanned

### Problem
The barcode is printed, but your scanner cannot read it.

###### Check 1 — Check the barcode value
Go to the product in **Shopify Admin → Products**.
Check that the product has the correct barcode value.

###### Check 3 — Check the template
Go to:
**Templates**
Open the template and check the barcode element.
Make sure it is:
* Large enough
* Not cut off
* Not overlapping another element
* Inside the printable area

###### Check 4 — Check the printed label
Look at the physical label.
Make sure the barcode:
* Is not blurred
* Is not stretched incorrectly
* Has enough white space around it
* Is not covered by another element

###### Step 5 — Test again
Print one new label and scan it.

### Result
If the new label scans correctly, you can continue with bulk printing.

| **Tip:** Test the physical printed barcode, not only the preview.
