# Configure API Access

### Overview
API access is intended for stores that need to connect Yanet Returns & Exchanges with external systems.

**Step 1:** Open **Settings > API Access**.

**Step 2:** Review the API access information.

**Step 3:** Enable API access if the option is available for your plan.

**Step 4:** Generate or copy the required credentials.

**Step 5:** Store API credentials securely.

Do not share API credentials publicly or include them in client-side code.
The current Shopify App Store lists API/Webhook as **Coming soon** under the Ultimate plan, so this section should be updated when the API is officially released.
