# Create a Exchange Request 

### Overview
You can create an exchange request when a customer wants to replace an item instead of receiving a refund.

**Step 1:** Open **Returns**.

**Step 2:** Click **Create Request**.

**Step 3:** Select the customer's order.
**Step 4:** Select the item being exchanged.
**Step 5:** Select the replacement product or variant when available.
**Step 6:** Review the exchange information.
**Step 7:** Submit the request.

Yanet Returns & Exchanges supports exchanges to the same product/variant on the Free plan and exchanges to different products/variants on the Professional plan.
