# How to Configure and Generate Multiple Barcode Formats

### Overview
Yanet Barcode Labels allows you to configure multiple barcode formats for your products or variants. Once configured, the app generates barcodes using all the formats you have set up.

###### Step 1: Configure Barcode Formats
1. Go to **Yanet: Barcode Labels → Settings → Barcode**.
2. Find the barcode generation settings.
3. Select the barcode format you want to use.
4. Configure the required fields for that format.
5. Click **Add barcode format** to add more formats.
6. Repeat the process for all barcode formats you need.
The app supports formats such as **Code 128, Code 39, EAN 8**, and other available options. Depending on the selected format, you may need to configure a barcode pattern, country code, or GS1 company prefix.

| **Note:** Shopify recognizes standard barcode types such as GTIN, UPC, EAN, ISBN, ASIN, and NS-PID. If a barcode format you provide does not match one of these types, it will be classified as **Custom**.

###### Step 2: Configure Each Barcode Format
Depending on the selected format, configure the corresponding fields.
* **Generate Barcode Format** – Select the barcode standard or format to generate.
* **Barcode Pattern** – Define the pattern used to generate barcode values for supported formats.
* **Country Code** – Enter the required country code for applicable formats.
* **GS1 Company Prefix** – Enter your GS1 company prefix when required.
You can add multiple formats and configure each one independently. Use the delete icon to remove a format you no longer need.

| **Tip:** Make sure each format is configured correctly before generating barcodes, especially when using barcode patterns or GS1-related fields.

###### Step 3: Generate Multiple Barcodes
1. Go to **Yanet: Barcode Labels → Generate & Print**.
2. Select the barcode generation method you want to use.
3. Choose the products or variants to process.
4. Continue with the generation workflow.
The app generates barcodes for all configured formats. Shopify may classify generated barcode values as **Custom** when they do not match its recognized barcode types.
